First timmer...so be easy on me

So I have been thinking about blogging for a while now. I have a handful of friends and family that are doing it so I am really feeling the pressure. I figured this would be a great way to stay organized with all my friends blogs and start a journal of sorts. So here goes! Rich thanks for all your amusing blogs so far. I almost peed my pants a couple of times! I can't wait for the next one.

We just got back from a family vacation from Disneyland this weekend. It was really just an excuse for me and Ster to go to the BYU UCLA game (thanks to the refs, we lost!) No really we just felt like the kids were old enough to attempt it again. Last time we went Abby was 2 and Syd was 2 months. That was just not fun for any of us. But we had a great time this week! No one was there, except BYU fans. We literally waited at most 20 minutes for a ride and that was only a couple of times. We walked through most of the lines. I think it was because school had just started that week or the week before. And the weather was great! We just missed the heat wave. It was really fun to see Disneyland through your child's eyes. They had a great time and that made it fun for me. Tess really liked all the rides, but got scared on Pirates. (who could blame her) I feel so bad but that was Abby and Sydnee's favorite so i think we went on it like 10 times. I hope I haven't scared her for life. Her favorite was the Merry-go-Round. Her face would light up when she would see the horseys and get so excited, then she would cry when we got her off.

We spent 3 whole and I mean whole days there and only had a few meltdowns. Amazing! Of course there is that restaurant we can never ever ever go back. I think they have our family picture posted there saying "DO NOT SERVE" I really don't blame them.

We even got to spend a day at the beach. We got to visit with some great friends of ours the Davis's. They have boys the same age as our girls. The kids just loved the beach and we got visit with our friends. That night was the game and luckily (thanks again Summer I totally owe you) we didn't have to take the girls! Aghh. So we got to "enjoy" the game.

I am surprised at how smooth this vacation went. We were truly blessed and had a wonderful time. We might just do it again sometime!
